<description>Marshalling the grassroots effort: get more people to read his books.

A few months ago, I finished reading the Audacity of Hope. It was so well-written, and the ideas and annecdotes so positive and illuminating, that I thought "if only more people read this, they would clearly see he is more than a passing fad, a star of the moment."

I jotted down The Obama Book Project on a piece of paper and the following day went out to purchase four additional copies of the book, for the sole purpose of giving them away under one condition: the person who received it had to do the same.

Read it. Sign it. Pass it on.

As central point to track the progress of the project, I created www.theobamabookproject.com, with a guestbook and accompanying blog. Feel free to visit the website, but more importantly, if you as an Obama supporter feel so compelled, join this grassroots effort. Join the Obama Book Project.
