A few months ago, I finished reading the Audacity of Hope. It was so well-written, and the ideas and annecdotes so positive and illuminating, that I thought “if only more people read this, they would clearly see he is more than a passing fad, a star of the moment.”

I jotted down The Obama Book Project on a piece of paper and the following day went out to purchase four additional copies of the book, for the sole purpose of giving them away under one condition: the person who received it had to do the same.
