VT Obama News: May 15th Fundraiser, May 19th NH Canvass

by Neil Jensen

Here’s a recap of some of the things we discussed at our Vermonters for Obama meeting on Wednesday evening…

On Tuesday, May 15th, there will be a fundraiser with Obama for America’s New England Finance Chair, Alan Solomont. And there is a very good chance that Senator Obama will be calling in to the event, as well. Please note: there is a $115 minimum suggested donation for this initial Vermont fundraising event.

Here are the details…

On Saturday, May 19th, there is a big canvassing event beginning at 9:00 AM, in Manchester, NH. Barack will be joining volunteers, supporters and campaign staff for the kick-off and first canvass of the campaign. You’ll meet in Manchester for a send-off with Barack before fanning out across the state to share his message with New Hampshire voters. And I believe there will be a cookout for all the canvassers at the end of the day.

If you can assist in providing transportation to New Hampshire for this event, please contact me at info@vermontersforobama.org with the number of seats you have available. And, if you’re instead looking to hitch a ride, please contact me at the same address with the number of seats you’re looking for. I will do my best to help connect people so that we can maximize our numbers on what will be a great day for the Obama campaign in New Hampshire.

I’ll also update you all as more information becomes available.
