1. Vice Presidential Debate Watch parties on Thursday, October 2^nd are running out of EBAs in Hanover and Ramunto’s in Lebanon.  Details and signup links at bottom of this message.  The EBAs watch will start at 8 with a short organizing meeting and some distribution of campaign goodies, and “Upper Valley for Obama” t-shirts- soon to be collector’s item- will be available for $10.   Buy a size up and wear over a long sleeve t.   Or consider stopping by the Lebanon campaign office to phone bank before heading over as a group to Ramunto’s to have pizza and watch the debate there.  Can’t make a watch party?  Make some popcorn and invite the undecided neighbors over….
   

2. Area Phone Banks.  Monday thru Friday you can make calls to senior citizens from 10am -4pm.  Just stop by the office.  Monday through Friday night phone banks run from 4 pm to 9pm.  Sunday night phone banking runs 5pm to 9pm.  Please sign up through a link at the bottom of this message, or call volunteer organizer Bill Carter at   603-667-1469.  Phone banks run out of Norwich, VT every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  To sign up and find out location, please call the White River Junction office at (802) 295-1443 or Jamie Hess at (508) 364-7522.  Phone Banks are running out of White River Junction on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 4pm to 8pm.  Sign-up/details links below.
   

3. Canvasses (visiting voters door to door):  out of Hanover EBAs (meet outside)  on Sunday at noon, and out of the Lebanon campaign office on Thursday at 4 pm, Saturday 10 am and 2 pm, and Sunday out of the Lebanon office at noon.  Sign-up and detailed info through the links at the end of this message, or call Bill Carter at 603-667-1469.  Remember to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather!  Also, please see links below for some opportunities to caravan out of  White River Junction, if that is more convenient for you.
   

4. Data Entry: Data entry work is generally available after 5:30 pm each evening, until it is done.  If you have a laptop (preferably with wireless network card!), please bring it along.
   

5. For Women Supporters: Barack Obama is the best choice for women voters!  Help spread that message by participating in the Wednesday “Women to Women” phone banks at the Leb office, and by publicly affirming your support through this link: http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/NHwomen
   

6. Office Food: Currently we need folks to volunteer to bring healthy food (no sweets, please—more substantial munchies or dinner-type foods—crock pot recipes work well) on Fridays at around 5.  Also needed are weekend donations for our canvassers, including our wonderful VT volunteers who often drive a couple of hours to get here and help us in NH.  For weekends, the Lebanon office needs food on Saturdays at 9:45 am (breakfasty type healthy foods- like bagels and fruit) , and on Sundays at 11am  (breakfasty type healthy foods- like bagels and fruit) and 4 pm  (lunch-type food- soup, sandwiches, etc).  Please call Bill Carter 603-667-1469 if you can help with this!
   

7. VOTE FOR CHANGE.com website: we want this site to go VIRAL!  Get the word out that folks can find out if they are registered and where, how to register, how to get an absentee ballot, and where their polls are, all with a quick visit to www.voteforchange.com.  GET YOUR COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ARE OUT OF STATE TO WORK ON GETTING THEIR NH ABSENTEE BALLOT ASAP!  But this site is helpful for voters anywhere- please drop a line to all your contacts about it, or add it to your signature line.  A big part of our success will be determined by VOTER TURNOUT AND NEW VOTERS!  This is an easy thing we can all do, and ask others to do as well…PASS IT ON!
   

8. Other ways to help Write a letter to the editor (help with this here), stop by the office and grab a bag or two of shredded paper to recycle from your home, loan a laptop with wireless card, or give the office a quick clean (Thanks to Kitty Bacon, there is now a vacuum on-site!).
   

Our group now has 275 members!  If we each donate 2 hours to the campaign this week, that is 550 hours of effort—together we can!
